Let There Be Light!

Over the holidays, the underlying layer of smooth foam lava/basalt has been adhered to the portal. This is the layer on which the LED ‘lava’ lights are being adhered. The paths have been mapped out and the lights programmed. The lighting program will still be adjusted after the fabrication on the portal is complete, but this initial programming will allow foam to be applied and shaped over the lights to help fine-tune the surface aesthetic of the portal.
